Changes Around the House #2

Here are some pictures of our new and improved living room - I tried to alternate pictures, one before shot followed by an after shot.  And then there are a few other shots at the end just for a more complete picture.  This project involved lots of tedious sanding (the stair rails), painting galore (the stair rails again and the walls), and a lots of muscle (ripping out carpet and tile and laying the new floors).  I'm sure I missed some steps in there... but you get the picture!  










We seriously couldn't have done all this without help from so many... my brothers John and Josh, my mom, Stephen and Katie, Philip and Randa, Malcolm and Stephanie, Parker (and Ali and Sam and Ben!), Steven and Heather, John M.  I don't think I left anyone out... and if I did I'm sorry and plan to blame that on my pregnant brain!  

I'll try to post shots of our bedroom soon... we had a pretty big transformation there too!

Rob has been working unbelievably hard this summer to make some awesome changes around our house!  I've been helping him where I can, but as I've gotten bigger I haven't been much help!  Luckily we've got amazing friends and family and have really been able to make progress with their help!!  Our house feels like a new home - and we can't wait for everyone to see it in person!  Please bear with my attempt to post pictures for the first time!!

We started upstairs with Taylor's Room... here are some before and after pictures!  And YES - the room was purple to start (even the ceiling)!  It was nicknamed the Barney room... for obvious reasons.


After fresh paint (and primer, of course), new carpet, and new trim, here's her room... almost complete!  Sometimes we like to just hang out in there!
