TAYLOR ROSE is here!  I'm sure many of you have heard... and I'm sorry I haven't posted anything for a few days... this seems to be the first chance I've had to think about it and upload all the pictures!

We went to the hospital at 5am for induction...  Here's a picture just before we left the house... not bad looking for 5am and barely any sleep!  Seriously... they tell you to rest up ahead of time, but really, who gets ANY sleep the night before they know they're going to meet their kiddo?!?

They started Pitosin around 5:30 am... and the contractions came... and so did the family.  They were having a party at the end of the bed while Rob and I were all focused on each other working through those contractions.

My mom was great at keeping up with taking pictures and I'm glad to have them all... but I can't believe she wanted me to smile in the middle of a contraction!!   I loved having my sweet sister there with me!  Thanks for driving in, Jules!

After the epidural at around 8:30am and breaking my water around 9am I was ready to push by 10am.  After barely 20 minutes pushing I was told NOT to push while we waited about 10 minutes for the doctor to show up... After he arrived it was only a matter of time (albeit not much time) that Taylor arrived!!  You might think I'm crazy, but I really enjoyed watching most of the birth in the mirror and couldn't believe it when I saw her little face for the first time!  Check out those Angie Jolie lips!  They aren't too swollen anymore and she's starting to resemble a real human now!  I love both these shots... crazy emotion... lots of joy and awe for sure.

Like I said, Taylor had lots of folks present welcoming her into the world!
Here's Rob and his dad.  I love seeing Taylor's reflection in the infamous mirror behind them.

Mom and Dad... Josh and Sophia (with their home made shirts - #1 Uncle and #1 Aunt) - love the enthusiasm.  When are YOU guys going to let us borrow those shirts?!?  :)  No pressure!

Rob's brother Chris came by on his lunch break and June (aka Grammy) was there from the beginning!
We're doing our best to sort of, maybe, kinda get the hang of this stuff... but it's obvious we've got a lot to learn... luckily we're enjoying every moment of it... in the quiet of our hospital room we took this first family portrait... not the best picture, but we love it.  Rob and I were both looking at Taylor as the camera went off.  And that's all we've been doing ever since.  We'll keep you posted on our adventures... LOVE and GLORY!  We are so blessed...
